4Religious Disclaimer
Rukna provides extracted prayer-time information for Your personal convenience. Rukna does not provide religious rulings, fatwas, or scholarly guidance, and is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified scholar or imam.
- Prayer-time extraction is performed by AI and is approximate. Extracted times may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
- Printed mosque timetables themselves vary by source and may use different astronomical conventions, madhabs, or local adjustments.
- You remain responsible for verifying prayer times against the original timetable from Your local mosque or another source You trust.
- Rukna is not liable for missed prayers, religious obligations, or any other consequence resulting from inaccuracies in extracted prayer times.
If accuracy matters in a particular instance — for example, when fasting begins or ends, or when calculating Eid prayer times — please consult Your local mosque or a qualified scholar.
5User Content; License Grant
By submitting User Content, You represent that You own the User Content or have all necessary rights and permissions to submit it. You grant Rukna a worldwide, irrevocable (during the term of these Terms), royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, analyse, process, modify, publish, store, and create derivative works from the User Content to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including to train and evaluate AI models on anonymised or aggregated content.

7Subscriptions, Billing, and In-App Purchases
Subscriptions and other purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Apple's terms and conditions govern Your payment, renewal, refund, and billing rights with Apple.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless You cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions from Settings → Your Apple ID → Subscriptions on Your device.
Statutory cancellation rights. Where You purchase the Service as a consumer in the United Kingdom, You have certain statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. For digital content delivered immediately on subscription, the 14-day cancellation period ends as soon as performance begins (i.e., as soon as You start downloading or streaming the Service), provided You have given Your consent and acknowledged that You will lose the cancellation right. Other statutory rights — including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — are preserved and not affected by these Terms.
8Third-Party Services
The Service uses, integrates with, or links to third-party services, including the Apple App Store, Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, OpenAI, Cloudflare, Supabase, Sentry, Mixpanel, and Superwall. The terms of those providers govern Your use of their services. Rukna does not control and is not responsible for the operation, content, or policies of any third-party service.
9Intellectual Property
All rights in the Service (excluding User Content) — including the Application code, design, brand, trademarks, logos, copy, AI prompts, and any other proprietary materials — are owned exclusively by Rukna or its licensors and are protected by United Kingdom and international intellectual-property laws.
Subject to Your compliance with these Terms, Rukna grants You a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for Your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
10Termination
Rukna may suspend or terminate Your access to the Service at any time if You materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that exposes Rukna to legal liability or operational risk. Upon termination, all rights granted to You under these Terms immediately cease, and Your data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete Your Account from Settings → Account → Delete Account.
11"AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer-protection legislation, which cannot be excluded.
12Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by Our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and the statutory rights of consumers under the Consumer Rights Act 2015), Rukna's total cumulative liability to You arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:
- The amount You paid to Rukna in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or
- One hundred pounds sterling (£100).
Rukna shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or loss or corruption of data, even if Rukna has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13Intellectual-Property Infringement Notices
If You believe content available through the Service infringes Your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights, please send a written notice to support@rukna.app including:
- Identification of the work or right You claim has been infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material on the Service, with sufficient detail to allow Us to locate it
- Your name, address, and contact details
- A statement that You are the owner of the right or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner
- A statement, made in good faith, that the use of the material is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law
- Your electronic or physical signature
We will assess each notice and remove or disable access to material where We consider this appropriate. Rukna may, in its sole discretion, terminate the Accounts of Users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
14Governing Law
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
15Dispute Resolution
You and Rukna agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter.
Nothing in this Section affects Your statutory right, as a consumer in the United Kingdom or elsewhere, to bring a claim in the courts of the country where You are habitually resident, where the law of that country gives You that right.
Rukna does not require You to resolve disputes by mandatory binding arbitration, and these Terms do not contain a class-action waiver.
16Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
The failure of Rukna to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
17Changes to These Terms
Rukna may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, We will provide reasonable advance notice through the Application or another reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes Your acceptance of the updated Terms. If You do not agree to the updated Terms, You must discontinue use of the Service.
